Progression Playbooks v2

Programmed like your coach, automated like software.

Our programmable training blueprints watch every finished workout, score how it went, and script the next session on the fly. Athletes see the right weights, reps, and cues without waiting for a human check-in.

What the engine is watching, and how it responds.

Progression playbooks are our programmable training blueprints: a coach-defined recipe that watches each finished workout, judges the outcome, and writes the next session on the fly. With the v2 engine, playbooks understand training tiers, staged ladders, periodized weeks, and fatigue safeguards so premium programs like GZCLP or 5/3/1 feel personal and proactive.

Here is how the automation thinks about the world — the signals it listens to and the moves it makes to keep athletes progressing without spreadsheet gymnastics.

Condition Families

Signals that decide when a playbook fires.

  • Performance streaks

Track consecutive wins or misses, top-of-range rep finishes, or AMRAP heroics to know when it's time to level up.

  • Effort signals

Listen to RPE and last-set grind to push harder on easy days or back off after redline sessions.

  • Stage & tier context

Target specific tier stages (e.g., T1 Stage 2) so sophisticated ladders unfold exactly as designed.

  • Calendar awareness

Respect planned base, peak, or deload weeks plus weekly modifiers so automation never fights the periodization plan.

  • Volume & crossover guards

Watch total load across companion exercises and clamp accessories when fatigue trackers flare up.

Action Families

Adjustments the engine makes once conditions hit.

  • Load tuning

Smooth linear jumps, TM bumps, percentage deloads, or precise weight drops to keep athletes on track.

  • Rep & set choreography

Switch between straight sets, pyramids, or doubles; raise or reset rep counts to match the current stage.

  • Stage control

Advance or reset stage ladders, trigger retest weeks, or stash custom flags for analytics and UI callouts.

  • Experience cues

Flip AMRAP toggles, set rest timers, and deliver friendly next-session coaching notes.

  • Assistance balancing

Cap accessory totals or redirect volume so main lifts stay fresh while support work stays purposeful.

Playbook showcase

We pulled a handful of launch-ready playbooks to demonstrate what the automation engine can do — this isn’t the entire catalog. Use them as inspiration; every rule, trigger, and cue is editable, so you can author your own progression logic and stay firmly in control of how you want to progress.
